We ourselves are pushing us inch by inch towards unfit lifestyle. Yes, some mouth-watering food items such as pizzas, burgers, hot dogs, doughnuts tempt us and we can do nothing but get attracted towards those irresistible food items. It’s high time that we should start taking our health more strictly. Have you ever decided to live a healthy life? Well it’s not a bad idea. Eating healthy food, taking nutritious diet and having a balanced diet will help you living the way you determined. Nutritious food is essential to all, no matter in what age group we are. Having numerous benefits, it gives you a positive life and gives you confidence. From fitness to our beauty, all we really need is a healthy diet.
BENEFITS OF INTAKING NUTRITIOUS FOOD THAT PERHAPS YOU DON’T KNOW
· Consuming healthy and nutritious food provides vitality and energy. Of course, there is no fun in living a dull life. Healthy food gives us strength to body required to do physical and mental activity.
· Overweight or Underweight? Flabby or Skinny? Both are a big issue. Eating healthy food helps us maintaining our body weight and keeps us healthy.

Now we are aware of the benefits, we should also know what to eat and what to avoid (strictly). Below is the list of the food we should avoid. Do not even think to try these foods if you are thinking to lose weight. Have a look:

We all know that we should take a balanced diet which includes macronutrients and micronutrients.
Macronutrients:
1. Carbohydrate (energy giving foods)
2. Proteins (helps in growth and repair of muscles)
3. Roughage/fiber (important for digestive system)
4. Water (essential to normal body functions)
5. Fats (works as backup source of energy when there is absence of carbohydrates)

1. Minerals and vitamins (play important role in normal body functions)

We’ve discussed the benefits of nutrition. Now for our benefit, we should be attentive of the consequences of unhealthy diet or what we can say poor nutrition. If we talk about short term effects, then that include stress, tiredness, weakness, irritability, poor appetite and delayed physical and mental development. Long term effects include stunting and poor learning at school. Stunting in girls may impact pregnancy. Simply put, diet lacking in nutrition may cause hindrances in our enjoyable and active lives.
On the other hand, poor nutrition may lead to some severe health problems as well such as:

A MUST KNOW ABOUT MALNUTRITION
India is dealing with the concern of malnutrition for long time. Research states that:
· Most children are stunted due to malnutrition under the age of 5 in Uttar Pradesh.
· 23% children are underweight and 25% show stunted growth in the state of Tamil Nadu.
· 74.1% children suffer from anemia and 60% accord with malnutrition in Madhya Pradesh (state having maximum number of malnourished children).
· 56.5% are found in Jharkhand (second highest) and 55.9% in Bihar
However, government has started dealing with the issue of hunger and malnutrition by implementing many schemes. Government executed welfare schemes like National Health Mission (NHM), Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGA), Integrated Child Development Services Scheme (ICDS), Mid Day Meal (MDM) Scheme and Annapurna Scheme for senior citizens too.
An unsuitable diet plan is like chasing your tail! Eat right, give your life a u-turn with an appropriate diet regimen and yes, don’t let the grass grow under the feet.
